Howdy. ... never thought I'd say this, but I don't seem to feel like drawing much. D: It's a very strange place to be... I still feel plenty creative, mind, but I find myself hungering to make "more practical" stuff like cages for my snakes and furniture and stuff. And on top of that, there is *always* something *important* I should be doing. Still going to try to push myself to make art, and work on the comic more. It's hard to work up enthusiasm because it's on a lighter scene and my real passion is horror XP But, I think it's important to mix it up... Guess we'll see. Now that I have a tablet, I've realized the severe shortcomings with Photoshop when it comes to painting. Obvious to most of you, sure, but I'd never really tried it before. And I seem hungry to do digital painting, so here's some dicking around in Corel Painter with a sketch. Not at all near a finished product, but I've hardly a clue how to use Painter. First some art! ... no no comics this post. Rrrf. Will scan later! LATER I SAY! ( And a one, and a two! )Anyway, for those not in the know, there's some changes going on around here. I've deleted my personal and snake journal. With some reservations I'll keep this LJ going, but comments are confined to The List, or I may turn them off entirely. No no no, you all are grand, I love you guys! Just need to... free up some headspace. It'll be hard to quit a habit of many years, this blogging, this broadcasting of thoughts to cyberspace. But I need to cut down on my internet habit, and thus maybe, just maybe, free up more time for art and other awesomeness. Oh God please don't kill me...W00t! Yes, it's much-belated comic time! Sorry for the delay guys; I'm so into this storyline, but in late December I was given an offer I couldn't refuse. ^-^ Yep, my largest commission yet, something right up my alley though I'm not sure I'm at liberty to discuss it at the moment. Whenever a product is made I'll provide links, though! And cash is a bit tight right now, so that helped (nothing serious, don't worry, worst comes to worst I'll have to *gasp* cut back on my bourgeoisie pig-dog lifestyle ;D ) So enough yacking. A taste
Erk... almost three months! Eh, well, school's going well. I've not been totally idle on other fronts, though. Moving the website (don't worry, the address won't change; it's all behind the scenes!) , done some costuming and went to MFF and did a lot of commissions! I've also got two comic pages done but I'm waiting for the site changeover before posting, and setting up an email list. Nyaaah! ( potpourri )Newsishness: So. Perhaps you noticed a distinct lack of updates. There's a reason for that, I tell you! In the past month I moved out-of-state and started gradschool. ^-^ I don't intend to abandon the comic, but it's probably going to be updated not-so-frequently :/ Sorry about that, and thanks everyone for putting up with my erratic schedule XD Any suggestions on how to make things easier, let me know... a mailing list perhaps? What has it gots in its pocketses?! ( Anthem, gift art, etc! )Anyone going to San Diego International Comicon?
